As far as judging goes, I think the one thing that makes me vastly different from other judges is the importance I place on timing. Aside from being known for my timing, I look for it in videos. In reality, bad timing lessens a video's quality to me, so even in a slow, romantic video with beautiful effects and close-ups of the handsome Regency man or superhero, if the beats don't match the movements or the changes of scenes, the emotion lessens.

Timing is also a telling aspect of a vidder. If their timing is always good, it means they have natural timing talent. If their timing is always nearly perfect, it means they have natural timing talent and the passion and dedication to tweak the small movements.

Also, I love effects, especially Sony Vegas ones, but there is such a thing as discretion. Too many effects, to me, means the vidder had less confidence in the clips themselves and felt they needed to add the effects to add emotion. Usually that's totally okay, but there is a point where there are SO many effects that it's too much. 

Other than those slight quirks, I love watching videos. I'm horrible at commenting on YouTube, I really only do it for close friends or videos that really impressed or moved me. I tend to get too into movies, and I am a movie and TV junkie, and I love to listen to music. I'm percieved as antisocial sometimes because I walk on campus listening to my iPod. Basically, I'll like each and every video for one reason or another.

Only one person will be banned from these awards, and he/she knows who he/she is. His/her offences are numerous and our history goes back to my very first YT posting in April '06, so this is the only exception. Everyone else is welcome, I do not discriminate.
